Abstract. Scattering by an impedance cylinder immersed halfway between two half spaces of different acoustic properties has been studied. Solutions are obtained from an application of a discrete index of Hankel function transform. Expressions for the fields in both half spaces excited by various types of sources are given. Additionally analysis and quantification of transverse leakage are presented.
