Abstract. We study Gevrey properties and multisummability of power series in more than two variables that are formal solutions of a Cauchy problem for linear partial differential equations with constant coefficients. We extend earlier results of W. Balser, who considered linear partial differential equations in two variables. Some new problems appear which will be investigated in this paper.
